Wood Science Research Department

The science department of wood and its products research was organized in 1360 to develop research in various aspects of science and technology of wood and paper. This department intends to use several technologies for better industrial exploitation of lignocellulosic natural resources, both wood and non-wood materials.

To achieve the above goals, the research department of wood science and its products is organized into four specialized research groups as follows:

1- Biology, physics and wood mechanics research group

2- The research and development group of wood composite industries and products

3- Wood Protection and Modification Research Group

4- Department of wood, pulp and paper chemistry
