Herbarium
Establishing the Central Herbarium of Iran provides an appropriate environment for botanical research. Research teams and botanical experts moved to different regions of the country. They collected different plant samples to develop the herbarium, which is actually a platform for botanical research. The development of a large herbarium was due to the efforts of experts, especially Dr. Mustafa Asadi, Engineer Parviz Babakhanlou, Dr. Ziba Jamzad, Dr. Ali Asghar Masoumi, Dr. Valiollah Mozafarian, Professor Per Wendelbo and Professor Runemark.
The collection and identification of plants species has continued until now, therefore, mentioned herbarium consider as the largest herbarium in Iran with more than 190 thousand plant specimens. A professional botanical library was established, considered one of the richest botanical libraries in the country.
