In the National Research Institute of Forests and Rangelands, the Journal “Iran Nature” was organized with specific goals and formed for publication. One of its main goals was to have a wide audience, especially “decision makers” and to express important issues in simple language, issues that are both important and may be challenging.
One of the noteworthy points is that the presented materials should have sufficient scientific support while being simple. One of the chapters that was emphasized and approved for publication was the topic of “climate change”, whose occurrence was widely visible and has been noticed at different global, regional, national and even local levels.
It was decided that a “column” in each issue of “Iran Nature” will deal with various topics of “climate change”. Considering that Dr. Mostafa Jafari had been working on this issue for more than thirty years in different dimensions, he accepted the responsibility of writing the “Climate Change Column”.
The present collection under the title ” Notes and Points” in the “Climate Change” column in “Iran Nature” Journal contains the titles and materials published in the forty-four (44) initial issues, which have various topics and included the current events, but there is a certain logical correlation between them and even each column can be used separately, it has been provided to the interested parties.
In this collection, it has been tried to present all the materials together so that the respected readers have the opportunity to have an overview of the different dimensions of the subject and make the field of action more possible. Also, decision advisors and decision makers will have the possibility to raise their opinions, suggestions and even questions so that it will be taken into consideration in a practical way.
